Nikah Services
Allah says in Qur’an, “And of His signs is that He created for you from yourselves mates that you may find tranquility in them; and He placed between you affection and mercy. Indeed in that are signs for a people who give thought.”

Nikah is an act worship. In Islam Nikah is an agreement and contract between husband and wife in accordance to the Qur’an and Sunnah of the Holy Prophet Mohammed (Peace be upon Him).
Islamic Center of Southwest Florida Nikah/Marriage Service Application
PROCEDURE
- Carefully read and understand all guidelines listed below.
- Complete the application form and submit via email at admin@islamicswfl.com along with a copy of the photo ID for both the bride and groom.
- Once submitted, our office will contact you to confirm the requested date and time.
- Obtain a marriage license from a county within the state of Florida.
- Bring the marriage license from the county clerk’s office on the day of the nikah/marriage ceremony.
- ICSWFL will provide a Certificate of Islamic Marriage for the bride and groom.
- A service fee of $100 is required for conducting the nikah ceremony. Payment should be made on the day of the nikah.
GUIDELINES
- ICSWFL will only conduct the nikah/marriage ceremony upon presentation of a valid marriage license issued by the county clerk.
- No photography or video of any type is allowed in the prayer area.
- Sisters will be seated in a separate area, but a live broadcast of the nikah ceremony will be available.
- ICSWFL will keep a copy of the official marriage license for its records.
- We require the presence of two Muslim male witnesses and a guardian (wali) for the bride.
- The bride’s father is considered to be a guardian (wali) of the bride by default. In the absence of the father, we will provide guidance to possible alternatives depending on circumstances.
- ICSWFL facilitates the religious nikah ceremony only and does not assume any legal responsibility or liability for marital, civil, or legal matters.
