The ICSWFL Funeral Services Team is here to cater to the needs of the ICSWFL, the surrounding communities. It is a not-for-profit community service that provides a range of end-to-end offerings. We partner with Peaceful Garden Funeral Home for these offerings.

Muslim Funeral Services at ICSWFL include:

Body transportation in collaboration with A Peaceful Garden Funeral Home
Arrangements for storing a body
Ghusl (body wash) at A Peaceful Garden Funeral Home premise
Acquiring a burial plot at a number of cemeteries
Private viewing at A Peaceful Garden Funeral Home
Salat-ul-Janazah (Funeral prayer) at ICSWFL (Masjid Ibrahim)
Burial at Royal Palm Memorial Gardens Cemetery
Counseling with religious leadership
Community announcements
Azza and dua facilitation after general congregations

A Peaceful Garden Funeral Home Service utilizes one of the nearest cemeteries in the area. They will be able to help you with services like obtaining permission from hospital to release the deceased body to them to filing for the death certificate.

Also, when you talk to the funeral coordinator, please prepare the following information for the dying person to facilitate the process and help in finalizing the paperwork:

Current location of Deceased
Social Security Number
Address
Date of Birth
Date and Time of Death
Phone Number of the family member
Email of the family member

It typically takes about 3 to 6 hours to make all the arrangements at a minimum (Open/Close the grave, arrange the transportation, set prayer area). As such, a person can be buried on the same day if the death occurred prior to 8 AM. If the death occurred after that time, the arrangements will be typically made for burial the next day.

Typically, the Janaza prayer is performed right after the Dhuhr prayer (02:00 PM)
